Collection: Lewis and Ailsa

Where Heritage Meets Hair: Crafting Elegance Since 2020

In 2020, master wigmaker Eleanor Lewis set out to redefine luxury in a small Edinburgh studio. Frustrated by the trade-off between beauty and comfort, she envisioned wigs that felt less like an accessory and more like a second skin – authentic, breathable, and unapologetically elegant.

Today, Lewis and Ailsa carries her vision forward. Each wig begins with ethically sourced 100% Remy human hair, hand-selected for its lustrous texture. Our artisans, trained in century-old European techniques, spend over 40 hours on every piece:
13x4 lace fronts tied strand-by-strand under magnifying lamps
Adjustable silk-cotton caps moulded to 300+ head shapes
Colour blends inspired by Scotland’s moors at twilight
These aren’t wigs. They’re heirlooms in the making.
